My Story
Purpose Was Built Through the Process
Lashawnda is an author, Christian counselor, minister, speaker, publishing professional, and entrepreneur whose work is deeply rooted in faith, healing, relationships, creativity, and personal growth.
Her journey has included seasons of triumph, transition, heartbreak, rebuilding, ministry, entrepreneurship, and discovering how powerful a person's story can become when they stop allowing painful chapters to define the ending.
Today, she uses those experiences alongside her professional training to encourage others to heal, find their voice, strengthen their faith, develop healthy relationships, and confidently pursue purpose.

My Story of Survival
Part of Lashawnda's story includes surviving domestic violence and finding the strength to rebuild her life after years of silence, fear, hurt, and difficult choices.
For years, shame and fear of judgment made it difficult to speak openly about what was happening behind closed doors. Her journey eventually taught her that past mistakes did not remove her worth, nor did they give another person the right to abuse her.
Healing did not erase the story. It gave the story a different purpose. Today, Lashawnda shares her experience so that another person living in silence can know that surviving does not have to be the final chapter.
Her story was featured in Searchlight during Domestic Violence Awareness Month, where she publicly shared portions of her journey from abuse to survival and healing.
Your past does not get to decide how your story ends.
Lashawnda's testimony is not shared to glorify what happened. It is shared to remind survivors that silence, shame, and painful choices do not have to become permanent identities. There can be life, purpose, faith, and healing after abuse.
